Loudoun Credit Union Launches Community Room with Flower & Garden Festival Collaboration

LEESBURG, Va. – April 19, 2026 – Loudoun Credit Union officially introduced its new Community Room to the public through a vibrant, community-driven activation during the 2026 Leesburg Flower & Garden Festival, marking the first community event held in the space at its flagship location at 6 West Market Street.

In partnership with neighboring Atlantic Coast Mortgage, the Credit Union hosted a two-day community painting experience, inviting festival-goers to contribute to large floral canvases inside the new space. The free event, held April 18 and 19, welcomed dozens of families and community members to step in, create, and connect in a relaxed, creative environment.

The result: a series of detailed, community-created floral artworks, now on display inside the Credit Union’s Community Room, transforming the space into an informal public gallery during business hours.

“This was exactly the kind of moment we envisioned when we designed this space,” said CEO Michael Falvey. “It wasn’t just about opening a new location—it was about creating a place where the community can gather, contribute, and feel a sense of ownership. Seeing families come in, spend time together, and literally leave their mark on the walls was incredibly meaningful.”

The activation was conceived and led by Samantha Tunador and her team at Atlantic Coast Mortgage, who handled event setup, materials, promotion, and on-site coordination. Loudoun Credit Union team members supported the effort by preparing the space and ensuring a welcoming experience for visitors throughout the weekend.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Samantha and the entire Atlantic Coast Mortgage team for bringing this idea to life,” Falvey said. “They took the lead and delivered something special for the community. It’s a great example of what collaboration in downtown Leesburg can look like when local partners come together.”

The event also served as a natural introduction to the Credit Union’s new Community Room, located within the historic O’Connor Building. Designed as a flexible, accessible gathering space, the room is available for meetings, events, and community use.

“Our goal is simple,” Falvey added. “We want this to be a place where things happen—where nonprofits meet, where ideas are shared, and where the community feels at home. This event showed us what’s possible, and we’re just getting started.”

In addition to serving as a creative hub during the festival, the space offered a welcoming stop for attendees to rest, rehydrate, and explore the newly opened branch in the heart of downtown.

The floral canvases created during the event will remain on display for a limited time, with select participants to receive finished pieces at a later date.

Loudoun Credit Union was proud to serve as a Silver Sponsor of this year’s Leesburg Flower & Garden Festival and to collaborate with Atlantic Coast Mortgage, the Loudoun Education Foundation, and other local partners to enhance the downtown experience.

Community members and organizations interested in utilizing the community room for meetings or events are encouraged to contact Chief Experience Officer Amanda Ivicic for more information.
