Everyday Checking- Effective April 1, 2008 a share draft account with a minimum $1,000 balance will earn a dividend at 1/2 of the regular share account rate. Also included is overdraft share (savings) protection, unlimited check writing, no minimum balance to maintain and a Visa Check (debit) Card tied directly to your checking that allows you to make purchases without writing checks and is backed with the protection of Visa (always select credit).
You may apply for additional overdraft protection by applying for an overdraft loan line of credit. (Subject to approval).
Transfers from savings to checking are limited to six per month (Regulation D).
All deposits may not be available for immediate withdrawal. Please refer to our Funds Availability Policy (Regulation CC).
When you open a new share draft account, your first 50 checks are free.

VISA Debit Cards
Your Visa Debit Card can be used anywhere there is a VISA logo, but cannot be used outside of the United States. The credit union has blocked foreign transactions to protect your account against fraud. Loss can be extensive. If you are leaving the Country, we recommend that you use a major credit card, rather than a card tied to your personal funds. LCU offers an excellent credit card product to fit your needs. Another alternative is the VISA prepaid TravelMoney Card that is accepted worldwide. If you prefer to use your debit card, please notify us in advance so that your card can be accepted in the Country you will be visiting.
